Bicycool Riding Events

Modeled after the Bicycool program in Poland, Iowa Falls is the third in the nation to host a similar library/community biking event!

The I Got Caught program is an incentive program to get Iowa Falls students riding their bicycles to stay active and to be safe by wearing a helmet. Over 500 helmets have been distributed to Rock Run Elementary, Riverbend Middle, and Alden Elementary School students during the six year history of the program by the Hardin County Trails Committee.

Throughout the month of May volunteers from the Trails Committee, Iowa Falls school personnel, and the Iowa Falls Police Department will be ticketing children. Students of any age "caught" wearing a helmet while riding will receive a ticket for a free ice cream cone from the local Princess Grill and Pizzeria.  Riverbend Middle School and Rock Run Elementary students will be eligible to enter the grand prize giveaway.

The grand prize giveaway will take place at Rock Run Elementary and Riverbend Middle School on the last day of school. At each school ticketed students will have a chance at winning a new Trek bicycle from the local Spoken Wheel Cylery, along with other prizes.
